Everything is black, the cold freezes the blood as it passes. The dilapidated walls of Spitalfields tell the story of the misery in this dark place. The souls here have been worn down by the harsh years, haunting them with a hunger they cannot escape.
Eliza, once known as Annie, hardly remembers the happy times with her husband. Alcoholism has robbed her of all that, leaving only darkness in its wake. After losing her husband and son, she walks, walking endlessly every day to sell her body to strangers.
Behind the blade of her chopper is he, watching and lurking in the shadows. Soon the flame in Eliza's heart will be extinguished and another story will take its place in this dark world.
